For that reason, we foster a supportive exercise community where we keep group fitness classes small (less than 15/class!) to encourage one-on-one coaching and correction of form. This encourages our members to progress their weight safely and confidently while learning new techniques and improving body composition. Unique to Strive, we slow down our strength training classes to spend important rest time between sets, allowing for increased weight. We know that building a fun, supportive, fitness community is what gives people the accountability and excitement to make a change in their life and stick to it. Group Class Types
Our flagship class is a hybrid approach. We begin the class with strength supersets using free weights. At this point we encourage members to progressively increase their weight as we drop repetitions, which is the proven way to increase strength and muscle gain. Following the strength portion we keep the high intensity part scalable and fun. We may program an AMRAP, EMOM, partner circuit, pyramid or more. But the overall goal is to get your heart rate elevated and your muscles firing because we believe in well rounded fitness. We also offer strength classes. These classes do not have a high intensity portion and focus more on core strength as an alternate. All of our workout splits and programming is done strategically to build foundational strength over time while preventing injury. New in recent months, we offer a Hyrox specific class where we come together to push ourselves in strength and high intensity stations. From Charleston, SC to Dallas, TX; Hyrox here we come!

A new group class: Mobility
Several times a month, we offer a mobility class that is lead by a Doctor of Physical Therapy. Kirsten leads our members through corrective exercise, proper core engagement, full body range of motion and mobility training, and athletic recovery exercises. Improving your mobility is an essential part of improving lifting form, preventing overuse injuries while training, and protecting your joint and muscle health. Prenatal and Postpartum Fitness
Are you pregnant or newly postpartum and don't know where to start (or stop) on your fitness journey? Come to our mom's only group fitness classes in West Ashley (Charleston, SC)! Programmed and led by a physical therapist and personal trainer, these classes provide a fully scalable workout so that women in any trimester or phase of postpartum can continue to stay active and strong. The benefits of strength training and cardiovascular exercise in pregnancy are unmatched, but having the guidance in a small class size is essential in peace of mind for mom. Our goal is to create a supportive environment for moms to meet and engage with one another while prioritizing themselves. Come by on a Tuesday or Thursday at 9:30am and see what we are all about- children are welcome and will be the responsibility of the mom as we do not offer childcare at this time.

A: Also YES! We say that we "program the hard stuff" and offer modifications when needed! We are founded in athletic principles of progressive overload, plyometric exercise, and explosive movements which we know are great for everyone!

A; Strive was founded to keep people on their fitness journey despite aches, pains, and set backs. We recommend you schedule an evaluation with one of our physical therapists to assess your movement, correct form, and teach you any modifications you may need.
