The Personal Training Journey at Strive

When someone makes the jump to invest in themselves and reach out to a personal trainer we are there to catch you! After your initial call with Casey our head trainer, you will be scheduled for an initial visit that is completely FREE. At this visit, we will discuss your previous activity history, detail your goals, and then put you through a workout to sample our workout style. We will then talk you through the Everfit App. On this app you can track all of your progress, talk with your coach, track your meals and macros, and view preprogrammed workouts by your coach. We know that progress tracking is essential in keeping our clients on track, motivated, and seeing real results. We want to support your journey through fitness accountability, expert training, and a community that cares!

Progress Tracking App

All of our personal training clients have access to the Everett app. On this app, the client can take progress pictures and track their body weight This is your hub for communicating with your coach, viewing your progress, tracking your strength and endurance programs, and completing pre-programmed remote training workouts. If our clients choose, they can upload progress photos and track their weight as well. Using this fitness app, allows your coach to track the amount of weight your lifting to take an evidence based approach to improving your overall strength. In the app, your coach will also set nutrition and macro goals for you and keep you accountable on your foot tracking.

We also offer several packages for your use outside of the gym because we know that consistency and frequency of activity is key to making physical and life changes. We offer both a cardio and strength add-on program through the app. This is a customized program created by your coach and viewed in the app with instructional photos and videos to keep your days between in-gym sessions on track.  When you choose one of these add-on programs, you also will get one on one messaging with your coach, and three weekly accountability check-ins so you feel supported and encouraged through your fitness journey and life change.

Athlete Training in Charleston

At Strive's foundation is athletic movement and training. Head trainer and founder, Casey is a former collegiate football player and has brought the athlete training style to his private gym in Charleston.  He believes that everyone can benefit from strength training, endurance conditioning, plyometric movement and athletic performance training. This is applicable from youth athletes to semi professionals, seasoned lifters  to weekend warriors who want to optimize their movement. Strive athletes, who participate in personal training will have access to a well equipped private gym. We have a turfed area to practice explosiveness, speed, training, footwork, and sports specific coaching. Our free weights are perfect for building foundational strength while our accessory items such as battle ropes, wooden boxes, medicine balls and sleds are great for athletic movement, learning control, and building explosiveness.

A: Absolutely! We love teaching new clients what their body is capable of and meeting them at the level they are at! We have experience in starting from the beginning to build a foundation of strength, teach lifting form, and cardiovascular endurance safely and efficiently

Q: How often should I train with a personal trainer? 

A: Most of our clients train 2 or 3 times a week. This is where we see consistent strength, body, and lifestyle change. Our Add-On programs are a great alternative for someone who cannot get into the gym as frequently. Check them out here. 

Q: I am not sure if I need personal training or group classes.

A: Your in luck! We offer a Hybrid+ program where you have 1 personal training a week and a group fitness membership all offered at a discounted rate!

A: All sessions are held inside Strive Performance & Mobility, our private gym located at 2408 Ashley River Rd G in West Ashley, Charleston.
